This feels rich and creamy. It has a light natural green tint, not noticeable on the lips at all. Comes in other various scents as well. Ingredients are:

  1. Made of Kosher Certified unrefined Hempseed Oil; It is obtained by pressing hemp seeds from varieties of Cannabis Sativa.  There is no THC (the psychoactive element present in the cannabis plant) present.  Cold pressed, organic and unrefined hemp oil is dark to light green in color and has a nutty fragrance.  It has a 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 essential fatty acids which matches the balance required by the  body for healthy cell production.  Hemp Oil has been well known to help prevent moisture loss and premature aging and is effective in maintaining moisture balance.  It can also be useful in alleviating certain skin conditions such as eczema, acne, and psoriasis.  The word Ganja is simply another word for Hemp.

So here we have Melissa’s Wax Tarts which are 80% pure Soy and 20% Paraffin wax. All 3 of the tarts have a perfect scent throw. I can’t stand it when I get a candle/wax that has almost no scent!whats the point?. They all melted well, and just one tart made my entire house smell beautiful. My personal favorite is Lemon Fluff Bunny.  I am sorry to say that currently she is sold out of these tarts, but I am sure it will not take Melissa long to whip some up.

About The Owner, you should read this too!.

Love & Lotus Naturals is owned and operated by Melissa Buck.  I live in Shakopee, MN with my four beautiful children and Nate, my significant other of seven years, who has been and continues to be encouraging and supportive of my love for producing quality, luxe body products from the sidelines.  I have a degree in Executive Office Administration and have owned a successful private home cleaning business for 18 years which has helped me begin this new adventure in my life.  My love for body care came years ago when one of my children suffered from eczema and NOTHING was helping.  When my pediatrician suggested something with steroids I KNEW I needed more time to try something else first.  I scoured article after article, website after website, anything I could find to try to do this naturally.  The world opened up to me.   I was determined.  I learned about oils and butters I never even knew existed. I researched how oils were extracted (that’s important), I learned about fair trade companies, I learned about chemicals and the science behind the chemicals, I joined groups with Herbalists, Cosmetologists, Chemists and Skin Care Professionals, I have watched webinars and taken online classes.  In the end, I was not only able to find a better way to help my child but also a way to put my passion to work for me.  I am a completely self-taught crafter who absolutely LOVES anything body care related.  My products are made with many natural and organic ingredients as well as love, passion and the desire to provide you with quality skincare.  I hope you enjoy my products as much as I enjoyed making them.  I appreciate your business and support more than you know.  Because of you, I have more time to do something I love.  Thank You for joining me on this journey to healthier skin.
xoxo,
Melissa

Sheet Masks & Eyemask review from Skin 18

Hello, My Lovelies!. How are you doing?. All is well here rest assure that.  These face masks came from Skin 18; a company in which sent me these products to review because I signed up. I will never lie to you about any product. I am not being paid for this review or any other reviews that may come in the future. I hope you find these reviews helpful, do not hesitate to ask me anything in the comments.

LUKE Total Skin Solution Hydrogel Eye PatchIMG_9484

Cost: 1.90 on the Skin18 Website

Claims to help with wrinkles, moisture, and aids in elasticity. These Eye Patches are formulated with Collagen, Vitamin E and A, Aloe Vera, chamomile & kelp extract, Q-10 (for elasticity), and lastly, hydrogel (inhances moisture in the skin). I saw the slighest difference, only lasted an hour though. They felt nice, did not burn or tingle, no scent. Other than the ingredients I listed above, there were no ingredient list on the Skin 18 Website. These come at a great price and who knows? it may work on all the claimed issues if you continue to use them.

IMG_9363

Next we have a mask from the brand SOC. Called the 3-D Face Mask Pack in Rice Wine, in which is for nourishing and firming the skin.

IMG_9366

IMG_9367

Oh how I LOVED this mask and I’ll be getting more. My skin was soft and gave me a glow as well. I’ll tell ya, reviewing Sheet Masks is a bit tricky, because you either like them or REALLY not like them. Most of the time you have to use whichever mask you are using over and over to see and keep the skin loving benefits permantly.  The ingredients are listed on the Skin18 Website and here they are:

Water, Glycerin, Butylene glycol, a chemical compound ,a colorless organic alcohol used as a solvent, helps other products dissolve in water, as a viscosity-decreasing agent, to thin creams and gels so they’re easier to use, and as a conditioning agent. Hydrolyzed collagen is composed of small amino acids, which help form new collagen in the body. Sodium Hyaluronate, has the ability to penetrate skin and hold onto water makes it a popular ingredient in moisturizers, eye creams, facial cleansers, skin repair creams and other anti-aging skin care products. Rice Ferment Filtrate (sake)Skin-Conditioning Agent, it inhibits pigmentation and works as a skin lightener, lightening spots and creating an overall lighter skin tone. Aloe leaf extract , Folic acid, PEG-PPG-18/4 which is a solvant, Polysorbate-20,  is used in cosmetics and skin care products as a surfactant, and  emulsifier;  serves as a dispersing agent to mix oil and water. Propylene glycol provides lipstick with its consistent texture, preserves the homogenous constituency of body lotions containing both oil and water, maintains the long-term fragrance of perfumes,  hand, body and facial moisturisers, and sunscreen products. Glyceryl Acrylatehumectant viscosity Controlling,  a multi-functional ingredient. Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Used as film former, emulsifier, and thickener in cosmetics, is a synthetic polymer used as a binder and film-former in dyes, adhesives and recently, skin creams. PVM/MA Copolymer, functions as binders, film formers and hair fixatives, to function as emulsion stabilizers and suspending agents – nonsurfactant. Hydroxyethylcellulose is a modified cellulose polymer; used as a gelling and thickening agent. Disodium EDTA, Cosmetic manufacturers frequently use this ingredient for a variety purposes. It primarily works as a preservative, chelator and stabilizer, but has also been shown to enhance the foaming and cleaning capabilities of a cosmetic solution. Sodium ascorbyl phosphate (SAP) , is specifically produced for use as a stabilized source of vitamin C in cosmetic products. Dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, is a widely used anti-inflammatory agent isolated from the licorice root.  Phenoxyethanol, is a preservative used in cosmetics and personal care products.  Allantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate).  Methylparaben, is an anti-fungal agent often used in a variety of cosmetics and personal-care products.

This next Mask is from the brand Mirum and its the Fresh Fruit Avocado Mask.

Cost on the Skin18 Website: 1.40

I use Avocado all the time, I mash one up and slather it all over my face and let it sit for as long as I can take it and I love it. I couldnt figure out why after 2 minutes of this mask being on my face it started to burn, it really burned!. I took it off and went on a ingredient search to figure out why…………I still do not know why it burns my skin. Here are the ingredients high on the list:

Butylene Glycol, easily penetrates skin and weaken protein and cellular structure, can cause skin irritation, dermatitis and hives from too many mast skin cells.  Repeated exposure may also lead to sensitivity or skin allergies. Carbomer, distribute or suspend an insoluble solid in a liquid. They are also used to keep emulsions from separating into their oil and liquid components. Carbomers are often used to control the consistency and flow of cosmetics and personal care products. Disodium EDTA, Cosmetic manufacturers frequently use this ingredient for a variety purposes. It primarily works as a preservative, chelator and stabilizer, but has also been shown to enhance the foaming and cleaning capabilities of a cosmetic solution. Allantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate).  Dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, is a widely used anti-inflammatory agent isolated from the licorice root. Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Multifunctional agent that can be used as emulsifier, surfactant and solubilizer. Useful also as foam booster and solubilizer of extracts, perfumes and vitamins. Avocade Extract,(500ppm) .

Lastly, NOT leastly I have a mask from the brand SOC Animal Cutie Anti Wrinkle Collagen Tiger.

Cost on the Skin18 Website: 1.50

I very much loved this mask. For me, when I use a mask, my skin just ends up looking plumper, and appears to be giving off light. As I said before, most masks you use tend not to have long term benefits unless used regulary, but, I love masking it just feels so darn good.

The details on this mask are very clear on the Skin18 store website and here they are.

Has mineral rich Alpine Ice Water and Collagen This mask has 6 different kinds of extracts to help with your skins vitality and elasticity. Glacier water, Niacinamide, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Jania rubens extract, extract of the seaweed, cosmetic ingredient for skin conditioning, Mineral water, Salvia Hispanica Seed Extract is classified as skin conditioning emollient. Rice Extract, great for adjusting skin tone.

I hope you have found this review helpful. Please dont hesisate to contact me with any questions, or just want to talk to someone.

Always your Beauty Lover,

ELF Smudge Pot review

Hello lovelies!.

I hope you are all doing well, just think the weekend is right around the corner!. It took me a long, long time to try the famous Elf Smudge Pots!. I’m really not sure why because they are so inexpensive. I really need to pick up some of the other shades and see if they are just as good.

IMG_5731 (1)

Iviviiv Cosmetics (1675 Cosmetics) pigments

Hello my Dear Readers!. I hope you all know how much I adore you all and how very thankful  I am to have your support with all of my social media sites!. I hope you enjoy this review and you’ll come back to see me. Today I am reviewing three eye pigments from an independently owned line that truly is special. First let me tell you what the brand is all about!.

I was contacted by Iviviiv Cosmetics (AKA) 1675 Cosmetics, Owner and Creator, Samantha. The entire line is all natural. She started her brand on behalf of her passed away brother’s legacy. She believes that art and beauty make the world revolve around. She wants every makeup lover to feel comfortable and beautiful.

These loose natural pigments blew my mind, they are so good!. I love color!. the brighter, the better!. I am not your average eye shadow lover. I adore loose eye shadow, they really are not that messy if you take the time to carefully open and close, and don’t forget to tap off your brush into the container before you pack it onto your eyes. A tip, use them wet for even less fallout and a more vibrant look. I use and love Elf’s face setting mist to dampen my eye shadow brush, the regular one, not the illuminating kind!.

Here are some swatches 🙂

I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see you very soon my loves.

Always your makeup junkie, Amber.

Review of Winter Remix the Young Wild and Polished Collab with Glisten&Glow

Hello my Loves!. I have an exciting review for you today!. If you are not familiar with Nicole, from Young, Wild, and Polished on You tube, you should REALLY go check her out. She is honest, and funny. This review is not sponsored, I bought these 4 polishes with my own money, and in fact I have never even talked to Nicole personally even though I have been subscribed to her channel for years!.

She did a collaboration with Glisten&Glow; a well-known Indie brand on Instagram. The owner is Jill and she is super sweet!. All four of these colors and unique, and beautiful. The formula is spot-on, and fully opaque. You can get away with 1 coat with every shade but I do 2 out of habit and for a longer wear time. You can order them separately if you choose, or you can get the bundle for a cheaper price. Before I give you all the details on that here are some pictures!.

So besides my nail polishing skills, I will get better I promise!. Its a working progress. To be honest with you and I REALLY hope you do not blame these wonderful polishes here but painting nails is new to me!. My Mom never had it in the house when I was growing up and that’s just how it was. Anyways; starting from the pinkie nail we have, Dukeberry  which is a purple I’ve never seen before, also Nicole has a dog named Duke, who is a  White Chihuahua, he is adorable!. I have to tell you again, the formula on every polish is simply a joy to apply!. Ring finger shade is OG Snowman a beautiful gray, but not gray shade:). Middle finger is Frosty Camel, this shade is special, it’s one of a kind in my book. To understand the naming behind this one you will have to watch Nicole in all her glory, and in (almost) every video she references her lovely camel, and she makes me laugh so hard!:). Index finger is Topaz’s Cabin this is (probably) my favorite; a deep smokey gray in my eyes. When Topaz comes out in a video, it’s a sight to see!, so free-kin’ funny!.

You can get these beauties HERE All 4 for 28.00. Or individually @ 7.25 per polish. I have had these colors on for 6 days with no chipping. I always have used Glisten&Glow HK Girl topcoat, I have been through at least 3 bottles of it. What I am saying is I do not know how long these polishes will wear if you are not using a good topcoat.

I hope you have enjoyed this review. I thank you all so very much for your kind words, and for finding it worth your while to spend some time on my blog that I love!!!. I appreciate you all xoxo ~Amber Morris
