Margaret is the creator, the beloved maker, She is a beautiful woman inside and out. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Margaret a bit. Her loving hand written notes that come in your order(s) is a personal touch that makes me smile.  She is such a hard worker and the quality of her products that I’ve tried are perfection.

The story of this humble shop owner is inspiring and touching and I want you to know. She had to have her Thyroid removed, along with several tumors. She has auto Immune disease, Adrenal issues. A year of severe pain,  she went from doctor to doctor none of which were able to tell her the cause. Finally, her doctor diagnosed her with, Connective Tissue disease. Margaret is open about her medical struggles, otherwise I would not be speaking of these things. Several of her creations were made to help her in her times of severe pain, like her Pain Away Essential Oil.

This is a very long post, please read carefully and make sure you get some refreshments if you plan on reading this in one fail swoop. I hope you find these reviews helpful and share with your friends and family.

It is hard for me to describe masks of any kind. I have tried 6 different mask varieties from this brand and I liked every one.. I do however believe that your results will get better with weekly use, I was impressed with just one use.

 Garden Party Botanical Mask

When mixed with water, Flax and Chia form a gelatinous substance which has a thick and slippery egg-like feel and consistency, hence the way it looks but, still effective.

I bought the full size, this here is the sample vial. The ingredients are:

Honey Powder
Also known as dry or dehydrated honey.
White and has a texture like corn flour.
Honey is said to be a natural antiseptic due to its tendency to absorb the life-sustaining moisture out of bacterial cell walls. As such, it is useful to include in healing salves and to use as a natural wound cover. Honey attracts the dirt from skin pores and dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. It, therefore, is said to be a natural skin cleanser and softener. Use honey powder in your creams, lotions, soaps, scrubs, facials, masks, body wraps, bath teas, milk baths, bath salts and bath bombs.

Turmeric Powder
• Protects against the breakdown of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid

It can temporarily stain skin. However, I’ve found that after applying and rinsing the mask, any remaining color will disappear.

Clear Radiance mask

IMG_4216[1]

When I say I loved every one of the masks I’ve tried, that is no lie. I mean, really, every mask is made up of all natural, proven to be good for the skin ingredients. Ingredients are:

Calcium bentonite clay-

There are three types of bentonite clay: sodium bentonite, calcium bentonite, and potassium bentonite. Calcium is the kind used for the body.
Bentonite clay may be beneficial because it can help your body in eliminating toxins, which can, in turn, help reduce inflammation. Not only will the clay remove impurities, but it will also deliver much-needed minerals and nutrients to the body, including calcium, magnesium, and sodium.
Do you suffer from dermatitis, eczema, rosacea, or psoriasis? If so, this clay can calm skin, heal cracks, and prevent infections that might be flaring up. You can prepare a bentonite mask compound for your hands (much as you would for your face) and anywhere else your body has skin problems. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wipe it off with a warm cloth. You can do this a few times a week for more stubborn skin issues.

Frankincense Powder

Frankincense raw powder itself comes from the hardened oleo resin of the Boswellia sacra . To obtain the oleo gum, slits are cut in the bark of the trees and a milk-white fluid leaks out. This fluid is collected and hardened.
It promotes healthy skin.
reduces skin discoloration and imperfections.

Deep Draw Red mask

IMG_5896[1]

This mask left my skin super clean. If you have active, puss filled breakouts, I’d have to say that the red clay would suck that gunk right out. Ingredients are as follows:

French red clay

French red clay comes from Hematite Iron, its coloring the result of the copper oxides contained in this rock. Rich in kaolinite, illite, montmorillonitea and calcite, this clay is best suited for normal to oily skin types. It will cleanses, detoxifies and exfoliates the skin, leaving it refreshed, toned and rejuvenated.

Acai Berry powder

Acai berry has vitamins A, C, and E, which can help in the regeneration of your skin. and combat hyperpigmentation. Packed with amino acids, fiber, calcium and monounsaturated fatty acids. Praised for being one of the most effective natural skin treatments on our planet that not only combats unpleasant skin conditions; it also actively prevents unwelcome fine lines and wrinkles.

White Tea powder:

Tea is a drink made from the leave of a plant Camellia sinensis. Most of the harvested leaves undergo various degree of processing, which changes the chemical composition of the leaves and, among other things, reduces the content of catechins. (Catechins are a subtype of polyphenol anti-oxidants believed to be responsible for some of the tea’s health benefits.)
The major types of tea include black, green and white, differing by the method of harvesting and processing. White tea is the least processed type of tea and has the highest catechin content. It is made of young tea leaves or buds steamed immediately after harvest to inactivate polyphenol oxidase, the enzyme that destroys catechins. As a result, white tea is richer in catechins than green tea. Furthermore, since white tea is made of leaves harvested at an earlier growth phase, its composition may differ from that of green tea in other important ways as well. A study by Dr. Thring and colleagues from the School of Life Sciences, Kingston University, London, indicated potential advantages of white tea as a skin rejuvenation agent (BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Aug 2009). In the study, the researchers looked at two key effects that help slow down skin aging: antioxidant activity (ability to neutralize harmful oxygen free radicals) and the ability to inhibit matrix metalloproteinases (MMP). MMP are enzymes that degrade the key proteins of skin matrix, particularly collagen and elastin, leading to wrinkles and loss of firmness. A certain level of MMP in the skin is healthy and necessary but excess MMP activity (often seen in older people) contributes to skin aging. It protects the skin from the harmful effects of UV light.

Green Glow mask

This picture has evaded me and I am sorry for that. The ingredients speak for themselves. You’ll see as you read my lovelies!.

Green Clay:  Works best on acne skin.  Green Clay is the most absorbing of clays, and it is generally used as a facial mask for tissue repair, drawing toxins from the skin and to normalize excessive secretions of oil or sweat. Green clay also firms, tones and refines the skin, promoting a smooth, supple, and clear complexion.

Spirulina powder:  Has a high content of vitamin A, vitamin B-12, vitamin E, calcium, iron and phosphorus, all of which are vital for your skin’s health. Free radicals make your skin look tired, limp and flabby. Taking Spirulina supplements on a regular basis works wonders for your skin, making it look toned, youthful and vital. It also treats flabby skin by eliminating the body’s metabolic waste products and strengthening the body as a whole.

Spirulina contains tyrosine, vitamin E or tocopherol, and selenium, all of which are known for their anti-ageing effects. Tyrosine slows down the ageing of skin cells. The antioxidants present in it eliminate free radicals which are responsible for skin ageing. Try this facial mask to prevent premature ageing of skin and fight acne. Make a paste by mixing some Spirulina with water and apply it on your face. Keep on for 20 minutes and wash off. This will make your skin amazingly soft and smooth as well as prevent signs of ageing like wrinkles.

Matcha powder:  Matcha contains a lot more antioxidants than regular green tea. All of those wonderful antioxidants work to fight the negative effects of free radicals and UV radiation, and can help repair sun-damaged skin. Contains chlorophyll, a powerful detoxifier, that according to sources at the Huffington Post, removes harmful toxins and fights free radicals that damage cells needed to protect our skin. Matcha is particularly good for acne because it has the ability to decrease sebum production. Anyone with concerns about fine lines and wrinkles will love the effects of matcha green tea too — matcha green tea protects our largest organ from harmful UV rays that encourage premature aging and hyper-pigmentation.

The Milk and Honey Mask….

IMG_6585[1]

I somehow lost this picture. I spent hours searching in my ICloud picture account with no luck. I think the reason is, is that I have to upgrade my storage limit in order or all of my pictures to stay in the cloud.

This picture above is just me. I do not use filters, I just wanted to share that with you. Milk and Honey mask is made up of-

Ground Chia powder- When you apply the chia seed face mask, you’ll immediately notice your skin getting tighter. This helps not only firms & tones your skin but also minimize large pores and reduces oiliness. Just like flax seeds can be used as an egg face mask for vegans, chia seeds can also be used in the same way. This is because when mixed with water, these two seeds form a gelatinous substance which has a thick and slippery egg-like feel and consistency.

Ground Flax powder- There are two types of flax seeds: golden flaxseed and brown flaxseed. The only difference in these two flaxseed types is the color and the price – golden flax seeds cost more than their brown counterparts but they have the same nutrient content.
It is rich in essential omega fatty acids, antioxidants, minerals and fiber.

Firms & lifts skin
Deep cleanses & purifies skin
Shrinks large pores
Exfoliates skin
Reduces oily skin
Helps prevent & treat acne
Has anti-aging properties that helps slow fine lines and wrinkles

Powdered Coconut Milk-

Adding coconut in its ground form is ideal for a powder product. It is soothing on the skin and protects it by locking in moisture. The white flesh (harvested from inside the nut) is washed, shredded and dried. Coconut milk powder is a rich source of manganese. Copper is a very important mineral for most of the bodily functions. Copper and vitamin C help to maintain the flexibility and elasticity of the skin and blood vessels.

Honey Powder-
Also known as dry or dehydrated honey.
Use honey powder in your creams, lotions, soaps, scrubs, facials, masks, body wraps, bath teas, milk baths, bath salts and bath bombs

Frankincense Powder-

Inflammatory skin reactions, sun erythema, radiations, acne, rosacea, perioral dermatitis,
atopic skin and barrier disorders, actinic keratosis, and psoriasis.

 Flower Power Floral Facial Steam-

This was a different treat for me and I loved it. When I was done steaming my face it looked dewy and refreshed. Ingredients are:

Dried Rose petals-

They contain anti-oxidants that fight off free radicals, skin irritants, excess sebum and germs Organic roses are suitable for all skin types and offer amazing skin moisturizing properties for dry and sensitive skin. The natural oils in rose petals trap moisture into skin cells, hydrating and moisturizing them. Rose petals are rich in vitamin C and other anti-oxidants. Vitamin C boosts collagen production and strengthens skin cells and tissue. This enables blemishes and acne scars to heal faster. Roses have therapeutic benefits that relax the body, reduce stress and promote glowing skin. Rose petals contain natural oils and sugars that will lock moisture into dry skin cells.

Chamomile and Calendula Oils- If you’re dreaming of beautiful, smooth, glowing skin, you’ll need to look beyond those bottles of moisturizer filled with harsh chemicals. Calendula and Chamomile pack a one-two punch that really makes a difference for your skin. Calendula is similar to aloe vera in that it has anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties. Thanks to alpha-bisabolo, a compound found within, chamomile is known for reducing wrinkles and fine lines. It, like its relative calendula, has anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant qualities that make it very effective for healing the skin.

Coconut oil-

Coconut oil is extremely high in oleic acid. If you have acne prone skin and your pores clog easily you really should use oils that are high in Linoleic acid.

I did enjoy the facial steam, but, if I continued to use this product I am guaranteed to have clogged pores.

Clarysage Essential oil:  For hot, red, upset skin, mix several drops into facial or body cream to promote smooth and clear complexion. It is particularly good for balancing the production of sebum of the skin. Clary sage oil can help regulate oil production and reduce inflammation that contributes to dermatitis.

Cardamom Essential oil:

Cardamom seed oil can also be used to help promote healthy skin, working as a natural cleanser to disinfect skin and give it a natural radiance. It also works as a skin toner that helps fight aging. Cardamom has vitamins A, B, and C, all of which can enrich your skincare routine in a very beautiful way. Also increases the recovery time of dark spots and blemishes.

Directions for use:

Just add a pinch of the botanical blend and a few drops of the special essential oil blend to a bowl of boiled steaming water, place your freshly cleaned & beautiful face over the bowl, drape a large bath towel over your head to lock in the healing steam, and enjoy the soothing aroma for 10 minutes while you relax.
